Turbo issue?

Hi there,

When i start my truck in when the motor is cold, it will fire right up then a the theres an exhale from the turbo? i think? Im just wondering what this is? once its warm it wont do it again. But today im having some issues, it will keep exhaling while im driving even when its warm..

sounds like the ebp valve is coming on. could be getting a bad signal from the oil temp sensor. try to unplug it and see if it still happens

The exhaust back pressure valve will close off and on to assist warm up and the noise you hear is normal. when the engine oil temperature reaches normal operating range,this valve will remain open allowing a full flow of exhaust thru the turbo.When it's real cold,It is real noticeable.Some of these guys delete it"gut it" or disconnect the wire or tie the valve open.It's located beneath the turbo.
