Throttle = no acceleration + CEL?

i bought a 94 powerstroke about a week ago, got home from camping with it today down my bumpy driveway, and immediately lost throttle response, meaning throttle does nothing to increase acceleration but does produce a check engine light. CEL goes away when pedal throttle is released.

Thankfully, i was able to crawl (idle) in 1st up my rocky hill to get the rest of the way home

Any quick fixes someone knows right off the top of their head? ive been dreading the Cam sensor since ive heard a few things about it and have yet to toss a spare in the glove box, but from what i read, these are not the symptoms. Thanks

Alright, got it sorted out, i basically unplugged all the stuff down at the throttle pedal and sprayed with some electrical contact cleaner.

Ford uses a microswitch as an idle validation switch, it is part of the throttle pedal assembly and dust/dirt/lint/toe jam etc can cause the microswitch to stick intermittantly causing default to idle. Clean the switch with some electrical contact spray or replace as needed, Ford doesnt sell the switch separately and the complete throttle pedal assembly must be purchased.
