there is a round single wire squeeze connector on the passenger side inner fender, right next to the vacuum pump. Squeeze it, pull it apart, and check for voltage there. If it has voltage, Chances are the wire is broken between that point and the starter. If it doesn't, try starting it in neutral. The MLPS sensor could be misaligned or going bad.
