97 f350 lack of power

So this afternoon I jumped in my truck and started it up and idled like sh*t and had no power on accel. Its been two weeks since I have driven it and ran fine when I parked it. So I work for a independent shop part time so I flatbeded it down there and put the scanner on it (modis) cause it did show a check engine light today but never did before. The light comes back as a EBPV code, but I know that wont make it run like this. No other codes and after I cleared it the check engine light stayed on..not off after I cleared it and come back on shortly, which I have never seen. I did a buzz test and all injectors passed and I also changed the fuel filter with a crappy aftermarket one cause it was to late to get a factory one. Any ideas?? I thought Id check here first before I started ripping off valve cover gaskets of buying IDM's. I put my hand on the frame lift pump and it felt like I had nothing. Is that a possible cause?? to give you the best possible comparison as to how it runs, it runs like I ran it out of fuel and am trying to get the air out of the system, but I have plenty of fuel in both tanks and never did anything to lose its prime.
