7.3 PSD just quit!

Sorry to bother you but I need your help..

I have a 96 e350, It ran great. zero problems ever in 7 months of owning it.

I put a can of "engine restore" (1st time) in it (255k miles on engine) it went 1 mile and it quit like the ignition was turned off.

The fuel tank was filled earlier that day so i know it has fuel.

The "wait light" comes on and i can hear the Glow plug relay clicking, it cranks well but no attempt to fire.

I:
Put a scanner on it (inside the cab), and no codes came up.
Replaced the CPS (did not help).
Replaced the Fuel filter and checked that there is fuel being pumped into the housing when I cranked it over.
Checked all the fuses, (some physically small ones are dead on both sides- I am looking them up online to see if they are spares).
HPOP was full.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

So why did you put it in there in the first place?

Sounds like you need to drain your oil and put regular oil in there. But my bet is you clogged up your oiling system if it's too thick.

This stuff is a no no on PowerStrokes. Sorry to break it to ya this late

change your oil and try and start it.

Yup. Drain th eoil and re-fill with an approved diesel oil. There is only 1 additive I have seen that is proven, safe, and helpful to these engines and thats Rev-X. Do NOT add anything else, as the injectors are oil driven, and oil additives will mess up the HPO (High Pressure Oil) system, and potentially damage the injectors.

Agreed drain your oil an put a light weight to get that thick sludge out and Chanel it again to be sure

Engine restore is not like stp. it is about as thick as straight 30 weight. BUT 2+2=4 and I never had any issues in the past until I put it in..

The HPOP was full.

Changing oil and gonna try it again.. I'll let ya know.
