Oil in the Fuel

last week I took a trip to the beach and on the way back the truck started smoking and losing lots of oil. A gallon every 30 miles. we rode 220 miles and only used a 1/8 tank of fuel and 10 gallons of oil. thats when i relized we were getting oil in the fuel. Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

O rings cause that much oil consumption?!

EDIT: I can believe the o rings causing fuel in the oil, but would they cause that much oil consumption?

I'm not sure where else it would be leaking. There aren't a whole lot of places where oil could mix with fuel, then be burned in the combustion chamber. I think it HAS to be o-rings. I'm just not sure where else the leak could be.
