Fuel Leak?

i took my fuel filter housing out and re did the o rings on the drain tube and the pressure regulator o ring too. it looks like under neath the furl pump there is a little dip in the block and its full of fuel. can you take that bango nut off the back to disconnect those two tines and then just remove the pump? does it mean the pumps bad or just a seal? the truck runs normal been smoking a lil more than usual. anybody had this problem??
