Fan clutch spins off W/P when engine shut off

My fan hub spun off of the waterpump when I shut off my 95 PSD last night and so I threaded it back on and started it and it did it again when I shut it off. I went anbd bought a new fan clutch today ($220) and haven't put it on yet as it feels like the old one with no obvious differences. Has anyone had this problem before and if so what was it?? If not, any ideas??

I don't want to install the new clutch w/o being sure that is the problem as $220 is pretty steep.

Thanks,
Darren

how are you tightening it? By hand? A big wrench and a pulley holder? Use some blue locktite.

X2

Put it on there tight with loctite. Just to be safe use some loctite rated for some heat
