Fuel pressure problems
I just replaced the fuel pump on my truck. It's a Cali truck so it has the fuel dampner/ accumalator just behind the pump. The dampner leaked so I took it off and plugged the hole. Now my fuel pressure is 90 lbs. Months ago I checked the pressure and it was about 55 lbs. Does not having that dampner there have that affect? What can I do other than buying that thing from Ford for $140 bucks.
Thanks guys. Mike |

My 96 was a Cali model and it ran at 108psi. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start blowing fuel lines or the lid off the fuel bowl.
