7.3 starting

How do you start a 7.3 ps. without a steering column, dash is still in truck.
Is there a work around I.E. what wires do you need energize to get truck to
start i know to get it to turn over but not start,thanks

Yes its easily possible. There is a white box that is bolted to the underneath of the steering column. It stays after the steering column is pulled and there is a knob on the white box that is accuated by the ignition tumbler... long story short, unbolt that white box from underneath the steerig column and you will see exactly what I mean.

Sorry no white box,must have gone with the steering column.
Ok, another question,how do engine builders start their engines on DYNO'S
I have to assume when you turn key on it send power or a signal PCM.
Then if that will not work then i will have to go wrecking yard and get box right.

jump the starter relay across the posts, it should turn over.
