'97 350 starting problems

Okay, my glow plug relay was bad, so I replaced it, the glow plugs, valve cover gaskets and interior wiring harness. When I started it, it wasn't running right and we found that the front passenger side glow plug plug-in was wired backwards. Fixed that and it was running better, but not great. Changed the oil this morning and brought it home and now it won't start. It fired and died a few times and now it just turns over and cranks but won't fire. I'm kind of desperate, as I am supposed to be moving 350 miles away in 6 days. I don't know if driving it with the one plug wired wrong could have screwed up an injector or what. Also, when it was running the last two days the idle was a little rough.

So what would cause this - I just went out and it started right up?? When it wasn't starting before, there was no smoke coming out of the tail pipe and now it seems fine. (relatively speaking) Gonna grab a cps tomorrow, even if I don't need it, may be a good thing to have on hand while moving. But a little nervous about how reliable it will be if I can't find out what's causing the problem.
