valve cover harness fried?
so went to pull off valve cover on passenger side when i took off the back connector on the valve cover the back pin was severly fired and melted and the one just next to it was pretty bad too. what do those two pins connect to i thin the far back is the glow plug right? and the one next to it would be for the injectors. well im gonna finish pulling the valve cover ill post what i find

Sounds like your due for UVCH harnesses and replacement connectors. Outer pins are for the glow plugs. Middle pin is a common to the two injectors the connector feeds. The other two go to the individual injectors.

had the same prob lucky i had a ptars truck to switch over but still cant figure out what caused the meltdown

From more research I've done its due to a bad glow plug or glow relay that grounded out. Time to change
|

How hard are those harnesses to change? How many are there? Where do I get them? Anything else I should be looking at? I have a 95 F-350 CC 4x4.

they arent hard at all just pop the valve covers off and you have 2 harness on the inside and 2 on the outside each connecting to the valve cover gasket the 2 on the inside snap on the two on the outside you will have to cut and splice wires. i dont know how much ford or internation will charge or how long it takes to get em. but autozone oreily should have the dorman part for about $64 a set that gets you one valve cover gasket and all the harnesses that connect to it. hope this helps
