injector pump

i got a 95 7.3 psd and was told that my injector pump was bad is that the same as the hpop or is it different. the truck wont start just cranks no smoke at all when cranking but fuel is getting up to the valve covers i know that so does this even sound like a injector pump to start with any help with this would be great

Does the WTS light come on when you turn the key to RUN?

Does the tach move when you run the starter?

Power Strokes don't have injection pumps, pump in the middle of the block are 2 stage lift pumps.

See if tachs moving to make sure its not a CPS

disconnect ICP sensor to see if it'll start, if it starts you may have a bad ICP, or HPOP, the PCM needs to see 425psi of oil pressure to start. Its the 3 wire sensor on the top-front of the driver side head.

the wts light does come on and the tach does move when cranking and it fires with a little shot of starting fluid and for as the cps that was the first thing i changed when this happened, i just tried unplugging the icp and no change but thanks for the help
