95 no start

Howdy all, my 95 (351,990 miles) won't start.

It will turn over until you wear the batteries out. Batteries recharged one at a time on a trickle charger.

Recent oil change and level is good.

Tach moves when turning over.

New passenger side valve cover harness.

Can hear the glow plug relay clicking.

Terminals tight on the batteries.

2 new full tanks of diesel.

No obvious broken wires or burnt electrical smell.

Ideas on what to check next or first $1000.00 can have it.

I would check the IDM out. Anyone down there that has a similar truck that you can borrow theirs to try it? I bet Dirk has one laying around if you happen to be near him. If I was down there I'd buy it for 1000. Nice to see you around here again Craig.

Check the hpop reservoir. The oil should be almost to the top. If it is empty, refill it, then crank it over. Check the level again. If it is empty again, refill and try again. If again it is empty, you need to look at the lpop (it is not pumping oil to the hpop reservoir).

Is it smoking while cranking, or does it just sound like the starter is turning the motor over?

You could also try and disconnect the icp sensor and see if it will start.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the ideas listed above when I get home tonight.

HPOP was bone dry. Filled her up and a little chugging later she was running.

Thanks to all.
