Cam shaft lobe for fuel pump

Does the cam shaft on a new body style block have the lobe for a mechanical fuel pump? I am not sure of the year of long block that I got but am not getting any fuel pressure. Pulled the freeze plug and installed a new mechanical pump. It will run on either, so all electrical should be fine I think. The new pump did have the plunger with it so if the lobe is there it should be pumping.
