sometimes dies and hicups(cuts out) CPS??

so the truck is a 96 F250 5sp. and the problem im having is every so often when you start the truck up it will hicup(cut out real quick) and then goes back to normal. sometimes ill hear it again while im inside and its warming up. and another thing is when pulled in the drivethru the other day i turned to truck off to place my order. then went to start the truck and turned it over and it ran for about a second and shut off. tried tried it again and it fired right up and ran tits so i dunno whats goin on here. little worried but thinkin its the CPS. let me know what ya think. thanks guys -Eric H.
