97 7.3psd hard start due to air in fuel any ideas?

I have a 97 F350 with dual fuel tanks. When you go to start (worse when warm) you have to give it some throttle to come to life. It idles rough for just a few sec. then smoothes out and runs fine down road. Seems to be getting air in system when shut down. Any body had this issue? Looking for a place to start. 240000 well maintained miles, lift pump replaced within last year. no check engine light.
