Overheating & oil leak, Please help!

Hey guys,

Got this truck about 2 months ago, and its been relatively decent all the way around. About a month ago I noticed there was oil dripping from the bellhousing of the tranny, & also started smelling burning oil at stoplights now & again. Usually only after the motor was under boost for a min or two.

Sunday I put my buddies boat on for a day out (5500lbs). After about 15 miles, the truck was sputtering & we were smelling oil burn. 3-4 miles later the truck started to overheat. Got her to the gas station, & it was just smoking like hell! there was smoke coming from a bunch of places (one of which looked like the drivers side valve cover gasket) and the engine bay was covered in coolant. Also, the entire passenger side of the truck was covered in oil residue. From the corner lamp all the way to the boat I was towing. There was coolant coming out the back side of the passenger wheel well as well.

I let the truck sit all day at the gas station while we were out on the boat. Came back, and she fired right up (after I put water in the coolant) and drove home just fine. Engine temp only got a tad over half way on the gauge. The heater no longer works, & im sure its just the heater core. I have driven it around yesterday & today, but i'm still smelling coolant & oil. It seems as if my oil leaks have gotten worse since this happened.?.?

Is this a somewhat normal problem if your loosing oil pressure? for it to overheat like this? or should I be looking elsewhere? A friend suggested replacing the radiator, but who knows. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
