ebp solenoid,, HELP!!!!
Hello all,, I mentioned this in my intro but over here it might work better I am have a very inconsistent rattle at the back of the motor when on a trip or just in town not always but sometimes got to looking a bit closer and I see this rod thing under the turbo is loose and hanging out a bit after some research I find out it is called a ebp solenoid rod just not sure how to go about getting it out to replace or repare it could someone please help thanks in advance..Chip....

You need to pull the turbo pedestal to access the EBPV solenoid. If your interested, you can just eliminate it.
Search "ebpv delete" and you can find info on it. Some folks just remove the selonoid guts and plug the hole with a bolt and sealant. Others cut the hole assembly off and weld up the remains. And the more expensive route is to buy a non ebpv pedestal. Other wise a rebuild kit is easy enough to do, once the turbo is out. |
