94 f350 with a psd stalled last night

on my way home last night my truck died. luckily on the off ramp at my exit. i was able to coast to a parking lot. it cranks fine but no smoke. i pulled codes and i have 0198, 1661, 1212. i know what the codes are. i dont know if anything other than the 1212 would cause it though. its still in the parking lot and being towed to my shop soon. first thing im testing is the fuel pump pressure. i dont know if my scanner will read hpop pressures yet. if not, my buddies does.

little background on last nights drive home. the truck was running great, even seemed quieter than normal. no hickups, no misses, no signs of anything. i figured the quiet was due to fuel from a different store with an additive i put in. i didnt even know the truck stalled until i tried to stop and no power brakes. radio was on so i couldnt hear the engine. i have noticed though, every now and then i would get a little rough idle when i get off the freeway. it would clear up after being stuck at a light for about 30 seconds or so. oil has about 1000miles on it and is less than a quart low, still in the "safe" area of the dipstick.

looked at it a little today. the batteries were dead so i didnt get too far. i DID NOT test fuel pressure yet. ipc voltage, koeo, was at .23. high pressure oil pressure was at 2465psi while cranking. im also getting an rpm signal while cranking.

batteries are on a slow charge over night. tomorrow ill retest and check other things, fuel pressure included.

got it running. i still want to check fuel pressure though. i need a 90 degree elbow to hook my guage to the valve.

pulled the fuel filter...not lookin good. replaced it, and it fired. im glad it was something cheap and quick. still have to get them other codes figured out. tomorrow the diesel tech from the ford dealer i worked at is stopping by. were gonna run it and check hpop and fuel pressure.

My truck did the same thing this morning luckily my family owns a ford dealership...IDM was the problem. Just shut off at 4am while I was going to plow our parking lot. Check your IDM

i could only assume you didnt read my message from a few weeks back. my fuel filter was clogged. 800 miles later everything is fine. alternative fuels were the suspect. not enough filtration on my part. thanks for the input though!
