If you cant find out what it is or cant afford to fix it, I have used a push start button on my old truck... It is easy and cheap!

when I did mine I just bought a couple feet of red and black wire, some electrical connectors and then the push button switch. You can get the push button switch at any auto store.
I connected the wires to opposite sides of the sylinoid / relay and then ran them through to the cab and connected the switch. You will have to turn the key to the on position and then just hit the button! |

Thats right.... just like crossing the points with a screwdriver to start it, except using the 2 wires and a switch so you can do it in the truck.
