Mine did this after I let it freeze. After this happened, I always had a coolant leak into the oil. Eventually, I pulled the cooler out and put in a new one, and put in new seals. This has resulted in (so far) no cross contamination. I have the cooler I pulled out, and I'm fairly certain it's OK. If you want it, I'd be happy to sell it to you. My seals were just gone all to hell.

you pulled it out because the cooler failed and was cross contaminating right? It must be internally damaged then.If it is good were are you located and how much.thanks>>>>>>brian

Yep. I'm in asheville. I'll clean it up and sell it to ya if you want. I'm in Asheville, NC. How much would you want it for? They're $291 from ford, and this one is in good shape, I'd let it go for $125.
