Truck is missing while driving

My truck has had a problem while driving down the road. It has a bad miss/shutter/jerk quite often. It does it more with the tunes on but will still do it on the stock setting on my tunes. The truck idles perfect and I can rev the truck up and it will not miss a beat. Anyone had this problem? I have checked the usual things fuel filter, fpr screen, injector harnesses, etc. Thanks for any input.

do you have acess to a scanner? did you take the valve covers off and look at the wires under there? its possible a glow plug could have gone bad and messed up a few wires.

Im going to pull the valve covers here in the next couple of days. A more advanced scanner probably give me the actual problem right? I have changed the fuel filter, new cps, fpr screen and strainer cleaned, etc... The truck has no problems starting, idling, and no lights on the dash have popped up. Just trying to narrow it down to something. About to make sure me chip is not loose. Thanks for the input.
