my 97 is doing some weird crap. u can be doing about 60 mph in 5th gear and it will start spitting and the check engine light will flash when it does it.it also seems like u just turn the key off then you throw it in 4th gear and just hammer it then it wont do it until u go back to 5th. it has a new fuel pump pressure is 50 psi at ideal and it has a new filter i hope someone knows whats going on
