96 Won't Run

My brothers 96 F250 will not run. Truck was ran out of fuel, put more fuel in truck still wont run. Thought the lift pump was bad so had it pulled off. When pulling it off we noticed there wasn't a single line that was tight on the lift pump. Cleaned up everything re tightened the pump put it back together and still will not run.

Truck just turns over and over and over, sometimes we will get some unburnt fuel out of the pipe and sometimes nothing.

We took the fuel filter cap off and turned the truck to the on position. I know on my Superduty the fuel bowl fills up before starting. No fuel was entering the fuel bowl.

Any ideas

the bowls not gonna fill up just by turning the key on. The lift pump "lef" rides on a cam lobe that pumps it up and down, therefore causing it to pull fuel from the tank, and into the bowl.

Is fuse #22 Good... getting a wait to start light?

If the fuel pump is working, fuse is good, push in the shrader valve on the regulator housing, see if your getting fuel there....

I knew that lift pump was mechanical Im guilty of not always using my head

Anyway yea there is a wts light....Im not at the truck right now....Ill get my brother to check the fuse

Also poured diesel into the bowl after cranking for several minutes and the bowl was dry. Still did not crank up and the level in the bowl didn't drop

fuse is good if you have a WTS light. Need to drainthe bowl, to be sure the lift pump is working. You can add alittle to the bowl and spin it over, then check if the level has changed. Did for some reason, disconect the UVCHs?

We did add fuel and the fuel level didn't drop, so im assuming the pump isn't drawing fuel out

My brother said that the uvch's where good and tight but I would like to check behind him to be sure

Another bump? Anyone.....place is known to be helpful and with the exception of Chuck haven't had a damn bit

Everything is hooked up, nothing broken, all fuses good, still not working

Thinking the lift pump is gone
