ROUGH IDLE NO POWER THEN SHUTS OFF AND WONT START UNTIL NEXT DAY AND SAME THING

Used truck twice last week and no trouble. Sat. went to drive and started idleing rough then slowly the power went away and finally shut off. Would not restart and had to leave it over night. This morning changed fuel filter which was half way up plugged with rusty sludge. Fuel in filter housing looked good and housing was 1/2 full with fuel. Drain some fuel from tank and let it sit and it looked good. 179k stock with exhaust. Have had truck for 10 years and now first time trouble. Getting towed to house. Which way to turn now? What ive read on other threads appears to be idm. Other thoughts?

Also no smoke from exhaust. Dripping Fuel leak on back side of passenger head has been there for a long time and now has increased almost to a dribble.

Is the tachometer reading when you crank it?

Yes tach does move when cranking. Maybe 25 RPM. Oil was 1 gallon low. Didnt have any new oil to put in and will top off tomorrow to see if it starts up. I will feel like a idiot if thats all it was.

Used a Super chips programmer and found this. P0340 and P0604. The P0340 says camshaft position sensor but the tach does climb when crank but no start.

It ended up being fuel pump at first. I drove for one day after replacement then I had to replace 5 connector harness that goes around fuel filter cannister and under and connects to fuel heater and hpop. This harness when shook would make truck run terrible or shut off. Also my fuel that was getting really bad from passenger side head was nothing more then the old fuel pump leaking from the weep hole.
