97 Powerstroke new idm now blue smoke on startup

I just replaced my idm the original shorted out and now the new one starts right up but now blows blue smoke until motor is warm? Truck never did this before,just a puff of blue smoke for a second then cleared right up. any ideas ? oem idm is a 100a. could this blue smoke be caused by the idm telling injectors to give more fuel. 117,000 miles original owner, stock,muffler delet, and ebpv unpluged, runs great
