Alternator charging???

Ok when i crank the truck up the gauge reads around 10-12 after about 15-20 seconds it jumps up to 14-15. any thoughts.

Glow plugs stay on for a short time after the wait to start light goes out. As long as it comes up to something a little over 14 you're good. It's normal.
