Exclamation Fuel leek at pump

I have a 95' F-250 DEI turbo with 189,000miles

My question is, I have had a fuel leek for the last few months and could not find it at all (it wasent jummping out at me) until today I klimed in the engine with it running and used my large inspection mieror and found the pump leeking, dripping at the bottom of the pump near the pass. side mounting bolt.
I removed the pump, and found a factory pin hole in that same spot where I assumed it was leeking frome. It is the original pump.
Is this normal/spot to leek with internal pump problems? and am I right in changing the the pump assuming its bad/needs replacing? Motor runnig fine with some MPG loss.
Thanks, Any thought would be helpful.

that hole you found is a "weep hole" and it is just like finding a leaking water pump....if its coming out of that hole...the pump needs to be replaced......simple as pie

Removing Fuel Pump

I'm going to change the Fuel pump on my 95 psd, the ford manual says to remove the turbo first. Is this the best way to change the pump. or can it
be done without removeing the turbo? I just like to keep things as simple a
possible. Also If I have to remove the turbo I guess I need to get new
o-rings for replacement.

I replaced mine last weekend. The pump was about 85 bucks at autozone. When you change it out loosen the filter housing. That will help alot. It might be a good idea to change the lines as well. The only hard part is loosing the banjo bolt by the turbo. a 1 1/4 in box end wrench annd some pacience it's about a two hour job.

Yeah I just replaced mine without removing the turbo, not to bad of a job, would have been a whole lot worse If I would have had to take the turbo off.

Got er Done

I changed mine out last Wednesday, wasn't bad at all. Sure beat taking the
turbo off. I must have been leaking more fuel than I thought. Milage improved by two miles per gallon. At todays prices every little bit helps.

Ive just found the same problem. When you change the pump do you have to prime it or just put it on and hit it!
