Hi, I have a 1996 F250. I recently had a no start situation and I wasn't getting any oil pressure. Long story short I changed the LPOP with a Melling and it fixed the problem, sort of. I can get the truck started and it moves around the yard fine but I'm cranking way longer than I need to each time I want to start it. The only things I can think of are the O-rings which I find unlikely or maybe my HPOP is also going out? I don't know these 7.3s as good as some of you so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
What oil are you using? Is the glow plug relay working? Glow plugs been replaced that you know of? Make sure the battery connections are extremely clean. Weak starter can cause issue too
Check the HPOP reservoir when you park it, and check it again after it's been parked a while before you start it. If it's gone down, then the HPOP reservoir is draining back.
