E4OD hard 1-2 shift, no codes...

97 F250 7.3. Last year I installed a 6.0 converter, new cooler, and a Transgo Tugger kit. Wildman tunes.

The past few days I've had a hard 1-2 shift, the rest feel fine. Light or hard throttle. However, it has shifted fine a couple times. Except for once in a while after downshifting from OD to 3, the shift back to OD is real hard.

No OD light flashing, no check engine light, but I haven't had it ran for codes yet.

Any ideas?

Mine did that for a little bit. Did you put the shift kit in? There was an optional 1-2 spring that is supposed to remedy hard shifts. I actually wish I didn't put mine in.

I did the kit myself. But I've put at least 5k miles on it since then. And the hard shifts just started. I don't remember exactly, but I know I wouldn't have worried about too hard of shifts when installing. I did open all of the holes to max.

I'm wondering if something's wrong with the accumulator. I may put the old spring back in, just don't want to drop the pan right now. In the middle of building another Jeep.
