94-98 solid mass clutch kit from napa

just thought i would post this because when i was trying to decide which kit to buy i couldn't find any reviews on the napa kit. What i got from napa was a solid flywheel and clutch conversion. My dual mass was so bad that i almost didn't make it home. The new kit from napa is great! It is just for stock h.p. but is so smooth that i can't believe it. The pedal feel is alot easier than the o.g. clutch and seems to hold the power well. If your in the market for the conversion kit check them out. The whole kit was $450 including the rear main seal. Thats cheaper than anything i could find other than autozone which lists theirs for around $350.

I HATED the clutch and fly wheel I bought from NAPA! The pedal was very heavy blew out my slave cylinder because it was so heavy Hard take offs have to start in low gear every time I moved of I had sever shutter. When I replaced it I found groves cut into the fly wheel 1/8 inch deep from uneven wear. I went to Diesel Car & performance and had them order me a SOUTH BEND clutch 7 flywheel and OMG how I love this thing now!

ah who knows...a bad kit maybe. 1/8th inch grooves sounds like a part that was defective from the get go to me. I hope they made it good for ya! I was alittle worried about mine but it seems to handle the power even with a 6 pos chip...two months in, i have know complaints especially at $200 cheaper than the competition. I hate you had trouble out of yours...those trans aren't easy to pull!!
