I have problems with the front end on my F350 diesel. The truck has 70 thousand miles on it and I'm on my second set of ball joints. I have a quality set of greasable upper and lower joints now and so far so good. When I pressed the last set in, I was torquing the nut to spec and the ball joint kept spinning before I could reach the value. I mean internally the joint was spinning, not lose in the pressed in bore. There is no way to back it up with a wrench to hold it. Has anyone ever had this problem?
My truck has always had problems turning in 4-wheel drive. It lurches on soft dirt just like it would on pavement and some times it will do it in 2 wheel drive with the hubs locked in when you turn hard over. I checked the universal and it is good and the wheel bearings are good. I don't know why it does that.
The stabilizer bar on the front end has the driver side vertical link bushing worn out so that every bump makes the front end sound like it wants to fall out. Does any one have a brand name other than Moog they could recommend to replce this bushing? Thanks for the help.
