carrier bearing problem maybe?
Everytime I gas on my 97 f350 5spd there's a loud bang noise under the truck at 1st I thought it was axle wrap then i thought it was the carrier bearing but im not to sure maybe someone can narrow down the problem.

Or the slip joint. It comes with just teflon coating from factory. I drilled, tapped, and put in a grease fitting to it. Works great now.

There's your trouble. Try diesel fuel; gas doesn't burn in our trucks...
KIDDING. Are you on the original clutch/flywheel? Could be the dumb-mass...er... dual-mass flywheel starting to let go. |
