chevy dana?
Found a guy got a completely rebuilt 60 out of a 79 chevy 3/4 ton. Completely rebuilt, dual stabilizer shocks 4.11 yukon gears and an ARB air locker. 400 bucks. Are they the same width to fit under our obs trucks?

If it is a rear then id say the price is right, if it is supposed to be a front end then id look a little closer at what he is selling, cause a front60 that needs rebuilt goes for near $1k locally. as far as wdth goes the rearend should be the same +/- a couple inches but the spring perches will more than likely have to be moved.

It is a front. He got the truck for free from a guy when he got sentenced to death...
![]() He's asking 750 for a pair of them, told me he'd take 400 for each. I'll have to look real close at it, but are the fronts close enough to work? I found another that's a kingpin out of an 89 F-350, but it's 5 hours away and 700 bucks... |

I always thought the pumpkin was on the wrong side on Chevy's, which is why people don't use them?

The width would more than likely be ok but the pumpkin is deffinately on the wrong side. If this is really a front 60 with an ARB for $400 is a steal. I'd look at it real close but I would imagine it is a dana 44. If they truely came out of a 3/4ton truck then they are deffinately not 60s.
Good luck Jim |
