cant get rid of vibration block install

Tried shiming my carrier bearing from 1/4 inch all the way to 1 inch after puting the 350 rear blocks on my 250. Now I get some vibration on a semi hard take off. Vibration was not there before. u joints are all fine. Im wondering how much shiming most guys have done to get rid of this vibration. I thought 1/4 inch per inch of height would do it, but that did not work for me. Any Ideas are greatly appricated.
