gear oil
I have a 97 7.3 4wd with 140,2xx miles auto transmission. I notice the differentials were starting to leak at the bottom of the covers so I was going to replace the gaskets tomorrow. I use the truck as a daily driver and may drive it off road once in a while. it has the 4.10 LS in the rear and Im not sure whats up front.
Any suggestions on what oil to put back in it? and does it matter what friction modifier I use or does it have to be a special one? I was either thinking Lucas 80w90 or the Rotella 80w90 in both with transX in it. Please let me know If this wont work. Thanks
