Clutch fooler

hi, im working on a 97 with a 5 speed and you have to stomp the clutch through the floorboard in order to start the truck. i toold the guy i could just fool the switch and he would be able to start the truck with out pressing the clutch in. he liked that idea a lot. so i went to take the connector out and put a piece of wire or a paper staple in the connector.....but their are like 4 or 5 wires in that hardness. no 2 wires like im used to. so what wires do i need to close the circuit on? or would trial and error be alright? i dont want to start a fire....been there dont that

thanks a lot
