Can my flywheel be loose ?

I have a '97 F250 HD 5 spd. Recently I started getting a noise like my flywheel ringing. It sounds like someone holding a screwdriver handle against the flywheel while it's spinning. It happens only after it warms up, and it doesn't do it at full throttle or down shifting but it does it at idle and at cruse.Could the flywheel be slightly loose on the crank and vibration causes it to ring ? I can't think of anything else that would ring like that. It's not a dual mass and everything looks OK.

I guess it possible but I'd say it's far more likely its your throw out bearing. When it starts making that sound push in your clutch and see it the sound stops or changes.

The sound doesn't change with the clutch pushed in. At one point the throwout bearing did make noise, but would stop with the clutch in. With the throwout bearing possibly bad, the bad clutch chatter, and the possibly loose flywheel, I guess it's worth tearing into it.
Can anyone tell me what some causes of clutch chatter are? Thanks.

Tore into it! Flywheel was not loose. But the ringing sound is still there. A machanic told me that bad or dirty injectors can cause all kinds of noises, so I'll try inj. cleaners.
As far as the bad clutch chatter, the flywheel and the preassure plate were only worn on one side and the preasure plate looked slightly toasted. cheap preasure plate I geuss.
Replaced the clutch by my self. It wasn't nearly as hard as I imagined. A vacation compared to working on my Escort.
What do you call 1,000 compact cac designers chained to the bottom of the ocean ?

A good start !!
