What Chuck said. Also make sure all of your bulbs are good. As weird as it sounds they have been known to have that problem when a bulb is out.

Mine kicks off the cruse when I turn on the turn signal and all the bulbs are good . . . so what is the clock spring and what does it do?

You will have to open up your steering wheel, remove the screws from the back side. This is the little jewel. Pretty common for them to mess up.
