After a 36hr shift I got in my truck today to go home and thought someone played a trick on me. When i released p-brake, put in 1st and let clutch out, it didnt move, just lugged down. i thought someone wrapped a chain around my hitch or axle and to a pole or somethin.
i got out and inspected all under the truck and nothing. I applied slowly and released the parking brake and the pedal felt normal, service brake pedal felt normal as well. so i put her back in gear and gave a bit more throttle to see if it was my brakes stuck. well i gave the juice and heard/felt a big loud POP then she broke free and drove & stopped like normal. any idea WTF could have happened? we got some rain while i was there, and it got cool out MAYBE in high 30s last night, but it was prolly 65 out when i got in the truck. |

your brake shoes started to rust to the inside of the drum. Happens to my car if I leave it sit for a week and it rains or is damp out. Or it could be that one of your e-brake cables is starting to stick and was not allowing one of the wheels to release.
