IIRC the face plates can't be switched out. I went through the same thing but not for the same reason. My thrower had the wood grain trim on it and I wanted to keep it, in the end I wanted a real cupholder more and switched it out. Also I don't think it is two screws but four, two under the ash tray and two from the front. But just call Powerstrokeshop.com and get the right color!! I think I paid $45 for the new one, the funny thing is I sold my old one on Ebay for over $50!!! This eas one of the most practical mods I have done to my truck, and my wife was happy about it, that don't happen on all my mods, lol!!!
