I doubt it as it depends on WI laws which look like the limit is 26k. I thought that your 20k limit sounded low so I went to the Oregon DMV website and you can haul 26k combined just like we can here in South Carolina with a plain-jane license. I believe most states but not all, specifically California are like this. We have a 26k limit on the basic license which takes care of about all a 1-ton truck would ever want to tackle. Besides that he's probably got it sorted out by now, this thread is from July after all.
