Help Meeee Pleassse!!!!!!

Ok here is the deal, while driving at highway speeds there is a vaccum leek noise comming from under the driver side dash, Its pretty loud, well it started really quiet, now 2 days later its really loud. Also there is a tranny problem along with the noise, It has a really hard shift. And i mean HARD, It will accually chirp the tires going into 3rd and only 3rd, then when it goes to 4th it searches for it.. Also while crusing around 30-50 it will come out of gear then slam back into gear. The truck studders in tune with the hissing noise. I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!

Gotta be a cracked hose, but I not sure if the tranny uses vaccum to shift. Maybe one of the tech will be along soon to help...

Hey Slammed, I'm scratching my head on this one, I can't think of anything under the dash that would affect the trans or shifting. I'm thinking it's sound transfer from under the truck, quite passably from the torque converter. Have you checked the fluid for smell? Other than that I'm at a loss, sorry man.

Gord.

trans has no vacuum controls of any kind , if you only hear the noise only under load , is probably a split intercooler tube boot or orange intake boot going into the head ,sometimes the clamp will slide around on those causing boost pressure loss and a bad hissing sound ,sounds to me like you have a 2 different problems ,does your overdrive light flash whe trans is acting up, and also what condition is trans fluid and is it full
