truck died

I was driving down the road and my radio was coming in bad so i figured the TS chip interfered so i reacehd down under my dash and wiggled the box a little, barely moved it, and my truck shut off, so i diconnected the batteries and pulled hte chip out, and the engine light stays on, so i put the chip back in and the engine light goes off, so the engine light is only with the chip out of the truck. all the lgihts and gauges and radio work it just keep sturning over. please help my boys
