It can be intermitten. I'd get a new one and try it. It's pretty much a one handed job anyway. 10mm bolt holds it in and it shouldn't be too bad. Also, I don't know what kind code reader you are using, but not all code readers will show diesel codes. I notice alot of posters on here hop right on board with, "It's the CPS" or "Check your valve cover gasket wiring." I say change it because that's what sounds logical to me. Not because I want to feel like I'm contributing by making you chase your tail. Good luck.

OK still no new CSP, the PT on my rotator cuff is killing me. I did go see a friend he had a superchip reader from his 7.3L so he read mine. I had a p0344, he tweaked it a bit and it ran better on the way home. He told me to try it and see how it liked the new program. At least now it somkes a bit, I am thinking the low sulphur diesel is killing me.

I will drive it tomorrow to my physical thearphy.

The P0344 code is most definitely your CPS. Mine went last week, and the black Cps for the 7.3 is only $35 out the door at O'Reilly's. I've put about 600 miles on since, and no problems. Takes 30 minutes, and that's taking your time.
