HELP Ignition / Steering Column damaged

I just bought truck and the previous owner installed new ignition in truck said so I would have keys for ignition and doors that all matched and it was broken. Well come to find out I got the shaft, he put in new cheap AM ignition, JB weld and a broken damaged receiver I found see pictures. I have ordered new ignition cylinder but do not know if I have replace entire steering column or if I can replace the receiver part that the ignition / key cylinder goes into. As you can see at inside the JB weld, epoxy or whatever he used and the round piece / gear / cog or whatever you call it just comes out I believe that is suppiossed to stay in. Can anyone help with what my options are if anyone has parts and etc.. I sure would appreciate it. I can not even get my truck tagged and drive it yet. And boy do I need it>Thanks for your help.
