my truck has a P0284 Cylinder 8 Contribution/Balance Fault
and P0603 Internal Control Module KAM Error and it keeps shutting down and the wts light will not come on and if i cycle the key it still wont come on and after a lil while it does and it will restart only to do this again and again sometimes a minute later sometimes a day or two later please help me im about to give up please if you may know what it is let me know asap or just call me at 218-966-7234 if i dont answer leave a message i need my truck i cant afford to bring it in i know you guys can help me please

OK, first take the chip out and see if that helps. also check the valve cover wiring harnesses. I am kind of grasping at straws. when your engine starts how long does it run? does it run normal? when it dies, does it stumble and die or is it like someone turned the key off? When the WTS light doesn't work have you tried unhooking the batteries? what happened?

Please be as descriptive as possible. little details matter, paint a picture!

Not sure of the 0284 code, but the 0603 code is on most trucks, its a soft code that my truck had too. Soft, meaning it won't trigger a CEL. Now maybe there is a problem with the glow plug relay, i'm not sure if it would have an impact on the WTS light or not. I'm in North Branch, MN so i know what its like to not have glow plugs working. I will try and find some more help for ya one here. There are probably other threads about problems like these.
