7.3 Thermostat Housing Bolt rounded off

Can't seem to get this damn thing off. The other two came off easily compared to this one. Broke both my 5/16ths sockets and rounded the bolt off using the wrench. Tried grinding a slot in the middle to use a screw driver to no success.

I don't want to break the bolt off or anything because I don't have an extractor.

Any ideas? I would like to get this done today so the truck doesn't sit.

Thanks!

A bolt extractor works very well in this type of situation.

Be verrrrrry careful when you do because you will probably break the head off if its in that good. I broke two off on my OBS and boy was that a B$#$%@#$$#!@@$ because its so close to the HPOP reservoir you cant drill straight very easily. I ended up having to African engineer it with 2 new holes in the water pump and housing

Ended up just taking a similar sized metric (8mm) and using some force and it came right off. Thanks for the help though!
