a glow plug relay would not cause a motor to die....and since your tach is registering....its unlikely (although not impossible) that your cam sensor is bad check all your fuses...you may have one blown...like the PCM one that the fuel heater will blow. You can rent a scanner for cheap from autozone and scan your truck as well..... |

Long term trim bank error would be a gas motor code...you would never get that code for a diesel....so its probably a code that means one thing for a gasser and another for a diesel.... |

An on goes my saga, I checked the HPOP reservoir, just a bit below the top so from what I understand good to go. I changed the fuel filter, drained the bowl and made sure it was nice and clean put it back together, no luck. I left the top off to make sure it was filling and it did but was pretty slow. Sucked it up and removed and replaced the fuel pump. Well now it starts but still runs like crap but I was able to putt down to a diesel repair place and finally got a scanner hooked up. Got a 1316, Injector Circuit/IDM Codes Detected. They couldn't work on it until Monday so I putted back and back in the driveway it is. So I started messing around and as it was idling disconnected the plug on the left side valve cover and it died immediately. Got it started back up and unhooked the right side and no change. HMMMM, I took off all the conduit stuff on the harness in front of the turbo and checked each wire and all seemed good so I guess it is a wire underneath the valve cover, or possibly a solenoid. Sooo my question is, is it worth me taking the right valve cover off? It doesn't look too bad to get off but once I am in there will I be able to fix it with shaded tree tools? By the way not so 911 anymore so if some one wants to move my post feel free
